After you’re done defeating the Strogg and saving Earth from annihilation in the single player campaign for Quake 4, you’re bound to move onto the fast-paced frag fest that the multiplayer has to offer.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution Ultimate Edition is now available! Mac gamers will now be able to dive into all the conspiracy and deception this game has to offer on their Apple computers. In the Ultimate Edition, it contains The Missing Link DLC and the Explosive Mission and Tactical Enhancement expansion packs.

The Tactical Enhancement and the Explosive Mission expansion packs grants you new weapons and gadgets along with an extra mission that ties directly into the original Deus Ex released in 2000.

The Missing Link DLC is the first DLC add-on released by Square Enix for Deus Ex: Human Revolution and adds an additional 5-7 hours of gameplay that explores what happened to Adam Jensen during his 3-day disappearance in the game’s main story line.

The game also contains a 44-minute “making-of” documentary, a 40-page book of design and concept art, motion comic, a soundtrack composed by Michael McCann and three trailers.

You may not have asked for this but you’re sure going to be excited to get this game!

• Does Tim Cook’s visit to the Valve headquarters mean a  partnership between Apple and Valve in the future? A possible Apple/Valve Console? This makes me giddy. EDIT: THIS STORY HAS BEEN DEBUNKED. TIM COOK NEVER VISITED VALVE. Here’s Valve’s CEO, Gabe Newell, clarifying things.
• Inside Mac Games reviews Civilization V: Explorer’s Map Pack and gives it fairly high marks! Check it out if your need some more convincing to get it or not.
• Cities in Motion released a new DLC called Ulm which takes you to the idyllic German city best known as the birthplace of Albert Einstein.
• A dad is suing Apple for pushing cash-draining “free” games at kids. This class-action lawsuit against Apple is being allowed because the judges believe that many parents are being misled by Apple’s  presentation of these “freemium” games as free and that Apple didn’t adequately inform consumers about the potential costs.

• Users of MobileMe get a free version of Snow Leopard to get them to update to iCloud. Don’t forget to claim your free copy if you use MobileMe because this promo ends on June 15th. 2012.
• On Wednesday, less than 1 percent Apple iCloud users experienced an outage and were not able to access iCloud mail or iCloud Notes.
• Samsung claims that Apple infringed upon 8 patents in reply to Apple patent lawsuit of them.
• If Apple were to ever release the iPad Mini, then it would definitely undercut the Kindle Fire.
• Apple TV may have found a new use in the conference room. Instead of having to connect a bunch of cables, you can share your presentation and data from the palm of your hand!
• Apple is going to take the Justice Department head on in a trial following the charges that they worked with publishers to fix the prices of e-books.
• Developers now get a a preview of OS X Mountain Lion to get a chance to test out the latest version of their prerelease software.
• Early this week Apple shares took a bit of dive for it’s fifth day straight. Well it’s not like they could’ve stayed up for forever!

Aspyr Media has brought back Quake 4 for the Mac and made it available for digital download. Quake 4 is now available at the Mac App Store, the GameAgent Store, and various other online retailers.

Also, if you’ve already finished the fight on Stroggos then travel to the Wastelands of Earth in RAGE: Campaign Edition for Mac as Aspyr Media has now dropped the price to $29.99!

First and foremost, we don’t mean that The Witcher has a shortage of alcohol.

Sorry, that was a bad joke. Just trying to draw attention away from the disappointment if not blatant outrage many of us felt after being so excited after hearing about CD Projekt porting this great fantasy RPG to Mac and then finding out we might have just wasted our money buying it because the game is pretty much unplayable due to their lackluster attempt at a port.

Basically, when you start up The Witcher it’ll work just fine for a few minutes if not more (it seems to vary with some people experiencing a crash after a few minutes to a few hours) then you’ll suddenly be faced with this unfortunate error screen.

Neither changing the graphical settings will not help in the matter because regardless of whether or not you are playing on the maximum settings or the minimum settings, the game still crashes with the same error message. Nor will updating Wine on your Mac help as it will still crash but it may take a bit longer before it does.

Our recommendation to you:  Don’t buy this game now. Wait till CD Projekt fixes this issue completely.

Check back in a few days or so because we’ll post an update if they fix this problem sometime in the near future. Also, it couldn’t hurt checking out the Steam Forums for The Witcher if they found a fix.
