A Sneak Peek at the New GameAgent 2.0

Posted by Russ Looney

The updated GameAgent 2.0 is fast approaching!  Like we mentioned last week, the new GameAgent.com will come packed with some great new features and a completely revamped interface.  Today we wanted to share a sample of what you can expect from the new site, particularly from the new product details pages.  See below for a preview image.

You can click on the image for a closer look.

First off, you’ll notice that, not only are we providing pricing info from multiple stores, we’re also highlighting where you can get the best price.  You can also notice a green checkmark next to the game’s title; this is our Mac Match feature in action.  This checkmark will help you easily identify which games will run on your Mac.

To the right of the pricing, users will have the option to add the game to their own personalized Deal Alerts section as well as add it to a customized Collection.  Adding games to Collections can be useful for quickly browsing a group of games organized however you see fit.  Users will eventually be able to share their Collections with each other, making it a great way to build a Mac game wish list or to curate your own personal list of must-play titles.

Below the pricing info, we’ll provide an overview of the game, including your Mac Match results, a brief description of the game, a selection of photos and videos, and user reviews.  Users will be able to get a more detailed view of any one of these areas by clicking on the relevant tab.

Finally, we’re providing a condensed information bar on the right side of the page.  This section will include the game’s rating and basic info (like genre, release date, and whether it supports multiplayer or DLC).  We also provide links to a variety of related sites, including game support, articles on the GameAgent Blog, and the publisher’s website.

We’re incredibly excited about the new look of the site and think it will help Mac gamers in their search for Mac games tremendously.  What do you think?  Let us know if there’s any additional information you would want to see in the comments!

Looks great! I love that you tell us whether a program will run on a system or not – no more squinting at a long list of specs to figure this stuff out!

Exactly. Why do system requirements have to be so complicated sometimes? Our goal is make it a much easier and smoother process–the way it should be on a Mac!
