Well, it was yet another exciting week in college football, but at this point, that’s pretty much the norm!  Three of the top 10 teams lost this weekend, including the #1 Ohio State Buckeyes.  In addition, the BCS standings were released on Sunday, proclaiming the Oklahoma Sooners to be the “true” #1 team in the land.  The top 2 teams ranked in the BCS at the end of the season will play for the national championship.  But enough of the recap, let’s get to our CFB Game of the Week! We featured the matchup between our beloved Texas Longhorns and the Nebraska Cornhuskers.  It was tough game for the Longhorns on paper, especially after the team’s poor performances against UCLA and Oklahoma this year.  In addition, Nebraska was said to be out for redemption since losing in the last controversial second of the Big XII Championship last year.  However, Texas came out swinging, effectively neutralizing star Nebraska QB Taylor Martinez and showing that their own QB Garrett Gilbert had some moves, too.  Nebraska made it close in the end after returning a pooch punt 90+ yards for a touchdown, but the Longhorns maintained their lead and won 20-13.  Catch a full recap here. The Football Game

It was a fantastic weekend for college football.  Most teams that were expected to win did, though there were definitely a handful of upsets.  Kansas bounced back after an embarrassing opening weekend loss to defeat the #15-ranked Georgia Tech Yellowjackets.  In addition, Virginia Tech lost again, this time to a team that practically everyone around country considered inferior.  It should be interesting to see how the loss affects the team that beat Virginia Tech in our opening CFB Game of the Week, Boise State! The Football Game
