How to Rock Black Friday and Cyber Monday 2011

Posted by Russ Looney

Black Friday 2011

Black Friday and Cyber Monday are fast approaching which means great deals on great Mac games are just around the corner!  The GameAgent Store has some treats lined up for all of our newsletter subscribers and social media fans that you won’t want to miss.

First, we’ll be sending out a newsletter early Friday, November 25, with a hot deal on a great new Mac game!  The deal will only last for a few hours on Friday, and being subscribed to our newsletter will help ensure you get the jump you need to get to the deal before it expires.  Not subscribed yet?  Head over to this Aspyr.com news post for easy registration!  Once our Black Friday deal expires, we’ll leave the rest of the shopping weekend to the big boy retailers.

However, once Cyber Monday arrives, be prepared for a torrent of Mac game deals!  We’ll be bringing back our super popular FLASHSALES on Monday, November 28, meaning a ton of great games at absurd prices!  Of course, the catch is that the games will be only be discounted for a very short time, so you’ll need to act fast if you want to take advantage.  Expect each FLASHSALE to launch on the hour, every hour, starting at 10am CST; each FLASHSALE in turn will last no more than one hour.

Worried about missing out on a great deal?  The trick is to follow us on Facebook and Twitter!  We’ll be posting each FLASHSALE to our Facebook and Twitter feeds as they go live, and you won’t be able to find the deals anywhere else!  Head over to your preferred social network (or both!) and start following GameAgent today!

Questions about our upcoming promos?  Let us know in the comments or, even better, give us a shout on Facebook or Twitter!

I OBJECT! I do not and will not use either Facebook or Twitter. If that is th sonly way to find your deals, that is just plain WRONG.

Well, technically I guess it’s not required to use Facebook or Twitter, but those are the the only places the deals will be announced.  Our Facebook and Twitter streams are open to the public (meaning you don’t actually have to follow us to see them) if you are just opposed to signing up for an account; you can just check the pages periodically throughout the day to see which deal is live.

Similarly, you can just visit GameAgent.com throughout the day, too, to get the deals, though you’ll have to do a bit of searching since several of them won’t be featured on the homepage.

    I agree with Rideau

As well as Rideau, I object to the exclusive usage of Facebook or Twitter to access information. Doing so may be good for temporary and obscure business, but is surely a bad move in term of general web accessibility.

Je m’oppose également à l’utilisation exclusive de Facebook ou Twitter pour connaître les promotions!

I hope Civilization V on the Mac App Store will be marked down by at least 33%. With all the DLC available to buy, it makes it much more expensive than the $50 Game of the Year edition which includes all the DLC. I would have bought the Civ 5 Game of the Year at Gamestop but its PC only.

You can expect Civ V: GOTY to be on sale again (as well as Civ V base game) on Monday as part of our GameAgent FLASHSALES.

Thanks for replying. Is Civ V for the Mac App Store on the fire sale list for Cyber Monday?

Civilization V: Campaign Edition on the Mac App Store is not part of the upcoming GameAgent FLASHSALES. However, you can probably expect a discount on Aspyr’s Mac App titles some time before the Christmas holiday, in you’re inclined to wait.

I agree with Rideau, Runningman21359, and Richard. I will only accept free discounts from you if you deliver the coupons to me by mail. Please carry out your surprise “FLASHSALES” the traditional way – by jumping out from behind a bush.

    I await your response.

    Kindest Regards,

    P.K. Biddlesworth

I will not be coersed into joining either and will wait for my email unless some other game crosses my path.
