I normally love Aspyr, but this seems kind of desperate.
You guys should make it clear here and and even more clear elsewhere that these games are not supported on modern intel-based Macs.

Do they even run on Intel Macs? Would be nice if you told us. Do you really think its fair to offer a product that isn’t designed and will not be supported on any Mac released in the past 3 years or so.

If you’re going to rerelease anything it seems like you would have invested the effort into making the apps Universal to ensure you won’t be pissing off customers who wouldn’t know a PowerPC from a Pentium. As it is, this just looks like you’re blowing through old stock with customers left to figure out what Power PC-only support means.

Hi, Chris, you’re absolutely right in many regards, so thanks for pointing this out. It is certainly not our intention to deceive our customers about what computer setups our games will run on. Unfortunately, making such restrictions more clear just slipped our minds when posting about the Tomb Raider revival.

One thing we want to note, however, is that, time to time, we do receive requests for some of our older catalog of games, and as noted in the post, we thought the release of the new Lara Croft game would be a good opportunity to appease those collectors. Moving forward, though, we’ll try to be more clear about the system requirements for our older games!

I’m all for answering requests, but please invest in upgrading these great old games to run on current hardware. The market would be exponentially larger and the game could, theoretically be offered at a great price that would drive sales.

Thanks for listening. It’s a shame to see so many games get orphaned by Apple’s continually changing hardware and APIs.
